Sean Mcrae has said..
"We struggled with their offload, their speed at the ruck and what they did after the ruck. They are very good at that, they play this game at breakneck speed.

"We have got to keep chipping away at what we are doing. I saw some signs of that but I also saw some woeful individual performances."

Who does he mean by that I wonder?? Jewitt who was definitely poor but not match fit...Cashmere? Smith?

Mcraes post match interview left a lot to be desired after the game he said he aint got a magic wond all he can do is throw the players on to the field and hope they get there in the end. What type of coaching is that total garbage from a supposed top coach send him back home if thats is attitude

I think that the line up in the back's last night was the weakest we've ever selected in the last ten years. I'm afraid there was an inevitability about the result from the off.

Even so, I thought that the Team did really well to get to 6-10 and be competetive. However, it was clear that we were always second best.

I think this year's signings to say the least have got to improve vastly on the showings up to now, as from what I've seen so far, they're poor.

Talau, Wilshere and White, if available would improve last night's line up. I'm afraid Fitzy, Stu Littler and Robbie Paul have had their day.

Positives from last night............Myler & Ratchford

This subject has been flogged to death in the past, but for me, the root cause of the problem at Salford is poor recruitment of both Coach and overseas players...and everyone knows who's job that is!

Even the most optimistic Salford fan must have been disappointed by last nights performance.

We are not even competing!

Only bright note was the effort of our young players Myler, Ratchford, Turner, Adamson, how long before McRea pisses them off.
No pace, up the middle rugby, one man rugby, no off loads, poor kicking game, poor defence, not a lot going for us.
I don't want much just enough to say we are competing, that not too much to ask for, Mr McRea.
Salford you need to ask do you want a manager who talks a good game on sky, telling every other Super league team how to play the game but cannot put the basic game plan on the field of his own team.
I expect to be bottom come the end of the season & can live with this as long as I see a team complete on the pitch.
Please take Fitz & Stu Littler out it gives the opposition one big lift before the game.
Sorry I wish I could be more optimistic!!

I completely agree with all of the above. Very poor last night, to be honest it was schoolboy stuff at times, we were poor all over the park, apart from the young fellas I thought everyone else was terrible. defencivly we were all over the place, not marking up properly. Attacking wise its all planned out even before it happens so Wigan just stood there and looked at us and decided who they were gonna hit, very average. The most disheartening thing is that a few years ago I remeber when Wakefield, Huddersfield, Cas, Hull KR and us were all in the same boat, to be honest we were better than them. And they seemed to have moved forward were as we seem to have just stayed in the same place, no progression or improvement. Off last nights performane we have gone backwards

What really concerned me last night is how can a young kid be so far ahead tactically wise than the rest of the players around him.
We have gone backwards, and the worst of the lot are the new Aussie mates McRae has brought in.
Cashmere the new Korkidas, Smith well we were warned, Henry does he know how to tackle, Swain works hard but brings nothing to the game.
I have said before I would rather our young players are put in as it is blatantly obvious they have pride in the shirt and want to play for the club.
People say this will knock their confidence, well I am sure playing with a bunch of tossers who appear not to care is not helping now.
If it carries on there will be around 2K at the home games, it is boring, depressing and has been the same for around 2 yrs.

I am new to the forum, and this has probably been said before. We need a good defensive coach!!!!
What does Steve Simms bring to the team? Why do we need a director of football? Get rid of the aussie waster simms and bring in a defensive coach! I would have Karl Harrison back in this position as our defense was pretty solid under him, and possibly both he and Mcrae can learn from each other.
Oh, and we need a fullback.... sorry fitzy it aint your position!
