...............planning on travelling to KR on Friday?

Think I'll be using 1/2 day of my remaining leave entitlement to get well and truly sozzled before the game to at least numb the pain of being on the end of a right battering. Friday night was truly horrendous, let's be honest there wasn't anything positive to take out of the game (except good Famtasy points for my team with Dorn & Mccarthy- Scarisbrick ) especially as some Solly fans (the deluded ones amongst us) thought we may get something out of the game. This week we're expecting a hiding so what do we want to take out of the game?

FWIW, here's my wish list............

1) No booing of players. Maybe they deserve it but I'd prefer us to give the players the silent treatment, it's just as effective.

2) Effort & Pride - I don't mind losing to better teams, it's the manner of the defeat which bothers me.

3) A positive attitude fom the fans. Yes, Quins scored in the 1st minute but to boo was pathetic. We should have at least attempted to back the players with some encouragement but it seemed some fans were looking forward to venting their spleen at the first given opportunity.

4) Ratchford starting at 6, he's wasted on the Wing. I know we've got fook all options with White out but Ratchford isn't the solution.

Ok, so it looks like we're in for yet another season of underachievement so let's at least try and get some enjoyment out of it. Reality has set in and we're going to be fighting it out with CC for the wooden spoon. I'd rather take the Derby County fans' attitude from last season where they resigned themselves to relegation after the first few games and at least spent the next 8 months having a bit of fun, than delude myself that we're on the verge of greatness (a la Citeh & Wire ).

BTW, this will be my first trip to KR in a good few years so can anyone recommend any decent boozers?

worth noting that Castleford got hammered 50-4 by Bradford last year then the week after beat St Helens 30-24.

Cas only won twice & drew once in the 1st 19 rounds of SL XIII
they lost 64-12 to Hudds, 54-16 to Wakey & 68-12 to Saints .

and we're moaning after round 4...

Look at Cas this season.
