It's hard being a Salford fan, and there's not many who can claim to have been around when we were a great Club. I was certainly too young to remember, so all I've witnessed is a slow and gradual demise over thirty years. I'm sorry that you can't draw that line in the sand with regards to yourself and Salford. I've been around a lot of things worse than a sporting team losing, so I've learned (Not quickly I may add) to keep things in perspective. I'm still passionate about my Club but I do it now with more logic and reasoning.

I don't think you should stop posting.

Take a few days away, then come on back. Perspective and time can be a great thing.

We lost the match and there's no avoiding that but we played pretty well.
Mullaney at scrum half was excellent,the pack hammered their's.
Meli still had some work to do to score his try but his defence is poor
Danny Williams took his try really well.
Tomkins made a difference.
We were unlucky.
Roby was terrible. Hardly played a set without him giving a penalty one way or another and missed loads of forward passes. Also just made bad calls consistently.
I think we do look a proper side and I don't think we are too far off.
The comments about lack of heart are well off the mark.
The cup is half full not half empty.
But we lost !
PS I'm now going to watch it on telly to see whether I'm right

From what i seen we conceded too many penalties and gifted them field position in which apart from 10 mins in the first half were unable to defend our own try line out wide!


Forwards did there job but outwide were just too weak defensively! This i'm sure will improve next season with the new signings! But even the most optimistic fan will admit top8 is going to be a struggle!

I thought we were much better.We started both halfs at a far quicker tempo than usual and were unlucky to allow them the first score after Sau was penalized for something the referee noticed.
I think Harris has done well to engender the team spirit with loan players and those who realize they may not be there next year.
The same referee as allowed the play to continue when Shannan Mac was unconscious from the Brough kick v Huddersfield at Easter and we allowed Hanbury to go the length when Tasi was caught on the head.
Nothing from the officials or the vid refs.

Looks like Thursday night for the elusive win,then ! Hope so.

I ain't downhearted in the slightest.Credit to Iestyn Harris and the players.

They are doing well to be getting better after the boondoggle era of Noble.The warm weather training in South Africa didn't seem to help much today.

I haven't posted for a long time on here but I wanted to because I can relate to you and your comments.

I know exactly what you are going through pal, it made me feel crazy too before I had counselling. The result of which was not to renew my season ticket after 24 years and I haven't looked back since. I'm nothing more than a casual observer now and I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

You have been misguided by Dr Koukash, money doesnt buy success, if gives you a false position of being successful. The players are very average. Rangi not a patch on what he did for Castleford. Gleeson, Meli both past their sell by dates. Morley good grief, should have finished 3 years ago. Cant honestly think of one Salford player that would get in any of the current top 4 sides. Thats shows how far off the pace you are.

Players beginning to enjoy their Rugby and do you know I think we still have a squeak in getting into the 8.
