Wigan, are heavily reliant on a benevolent owner & are massively in debt and have a trophy cabinet that glitters and an average fan base 2 times that of Leigh and 12 times that of london......none of the club own their own grounds although Wigan do have tangible assets.

Yes. We prefer our two Bob millionaires hand picked by the rfl.

Super League will be fine as long as they keep the rich owners involved. A shame that the game is still so fragile.

Strange that you're the same poster that claimed we've been on the end of more favours than any other club, but gloss over the fact that the RFL have more than cancelled out any assistance by foisting a succession of small businessmen on us. Unlike some of them, Curry man as you charmingly call Omar Khan was an honourable and well meaning man who got in over his head.

I think you'll find that the RFL didn't "foister" (sic) anyone onto Bradford......Bradford went to the wall through mismanagement over a number of years and at that stage couldn't attract anything other than carpetbaggers and chancers to the table. I think you'll also find that rather than the ground be possibly lost to RL, the RFL purchased it, because Bradford couldn't afford to do anything, let alone service the debt they'd run up against it.

Furthermore, I succinctly remember not one, but close to a half dozen 'bucket' campaigns to bail the club out.

I have no doubt Mr Khan had his heart in the right place, but the reality was he was WAY over his head and the £1,800,000 SKY money was his, as well as the ex publican and the other "saviours" go to thing when it came to saving the club.

I don't "gloss over" anything when it comes to this sport. Salford are on deaths door, London (my club) are gone for good in their current guise, the RFL/SL Chairmen are not fit for purpose and the state of the game in the northern hemisphere is shambolic. Bradford were the architects of their own demise and received more favours than most during that time before you were relegated. What you've achieved since is to be applauded, but without the bucket collections and the RFL stepping in when they did, you've been toast!

Listen. I get it. Someoe is saying something "nasty" about your club. We've had conspiracy theorists harping on about that there london and bags of cash for decades....difference is, other than a £100,000 bribe paid to the owner of Barnet FC by the other SL clubs to ensure the 2014 seaon started, London has never had anyone shake a bucket for u...or buy our ground for us either. Not to mention let games go ahead on a minature pitch

You've actually written "Sic" next to a word YOU have spelled wrong. That's a bit unusual. Anyway you are mistaken because administrators received bids to take over the club from people such as Koukash, and the wealthy owners of Wasps RUFC. Those offers were turned down each time in favour of people with no money and often dubious business nous. So it is simply false to claim the only people who wanted to buy Bradford were "carpetbaggers and chancers". They are the only people ALLOWED to buy it which creates an inevitable cycle of failure.

Did you mean distinctly? Anyway you've false memory syndrome there. We had one large game-wide collection and we are all grateful for that. It hasn't happened recurrently.

I am the first to admit what a basket case my club is and I make sure I don't deride any other club that suffers. But I will keep countering the absolute nonsense the game has swallowed about just how wonderfully Bradford has been treated. The net impact of RFL meddling is negative.
