it worked didn't it? Second win in the bag.

His comments about the alternative to straight promotion and relegation being agreed by other superleague clubs before they turned their backs as Leigh fell away sounds about right too IMO.

So what's he going to do next week? Threaten to not pay them?

For whatever reason DB was refusing to pay for Australian player Brendan Elliot's flight back home. On the Friday before the Hull KR game at Newcastle, the players told Beaumont that unless he agreed to do pay for Elliot's flight back home, they would travel up to St. James Park, then just stay in the changing room at kick -off.

Investment based on enthusiasm generally ends in disaster......and not for the enthusiastic investor .....just the poor souls whose hopes they rain on.

Leigh were always going down this year and London are a basket case. Both clubs rely on a benevolent owner and both of these are in possession of money and passion but not a lot of joined up thinking....I doubt that the good Dr even now fully understands that what he did whilst at Salford did more damage than good...Salford now rely on th benevolence of a union club who will soon be their landlord.....progress it ain't.

Wigan, traditionally one of the top 3 RL Clubs in England are heavily reliant on a benevolent owner & are massively in debt, yet no mention !!!!

Wigan, are heavily reliant on a benevolent owner & are massively in debt and have a trophy cabinet that glitters and an average fan base 2 times that of Leigh and 12 times that of london......none of the club own their own grounds although Wigan do have tangible assets.
