This has nothing to do with Wigan being, well, a bit average this season ?

Every club has to deal with the postponed fixtures and Catalan deserve immense credit for being top of the pile at the moment.
They have all of the issues that other clubs have plus, huge amounts of travel, plus the disruption that comes along with that travel.

Go on, take your Starbucks badge off for a moment and give them just a little bit of credit. Go on, it wont hurt (too much).

It's a fantastic effort, so far but, nothing is won or lost in July (apart from the Cup Final) and there is still a long way to go before anyone lifts the trophy at Old Trafford. - It may even be Wigan that are champions, at which point you will have, no doubt, changed your tune.
Mind you, at this point the LLS looks like it will be Catalan, Saints or Warrington.

What are you even on about? Leave out the insults, Karen.

This

"Agreed. The fixture congestion and imbalance has ruined the season sadly."

Remembering that the thread is "who can stop Catalan from winning SL" and the best that you can manage is that the season is "ruined".

It's no worse than last season and I'm pretty sure that whoever makes the GF will be worthy champions.
Having a play off system takes many of the imbalances out of the equation.

So why are you going on about Wigan? We've been poop since the start of the season but appreciate the bitterness still remains.

Leeds have played something like 4 games in 12 days and played 4 days before the Catalans game whilst Catalans had 8 days off.

Saints have played I think once in 4 weeks.

If you don't think that will have a bearing on who wins SL you are deluded.

The NZ warriors have had to do it tough this year....and now their first home game for nearly 2 years is off because of the Aussie resurgence in infections. We'd bought flights tickets and booked the hotel....a full house was expected....but they are now having to return to Queensland as their base....700+ days since they've had a home game.....that's doing it tough and they've lost plenty of games this year by a score or less.....they're far better than their position on the table suggests.

This is true I'm just not convinced Nathan Brown is the coach for the Warriors. His always struggled at NRL level.

I've lost massive interest due to the lack of credibility in the league now, but in answer to the question, saints, will stop stop Catalans winning it.

It's just so telegraphed that catalans will do this and that in the regular season but when it comes to playoffs, when it comes to old trafford saints will do it. Either them or wigan will come good, probably another wigan saints grand final. It should really be, who can stop saints winning again?

Massive yawn. Wake me up in 5 years time when hopefully the competition is better.

New York, London, Paris, Munich, everybody talk about......,

In 5 year we will either be in a similar state, with the bigger teams winning, the lower teams voting to keep the championship sides away from the trough....or, we will be a razzle dazzle sport played across europe in 1/4 soccer stadiums in aves like Newcastle and Barcelona.........

To be fair to Brown, Wayne Bennet left Newcastle in a right mess. Brown had lots to fix when he joined. Left them in a far better shape then Bennett for him.

The back to back champions and current CC holders set down a massive marker today with an easy victory.

That said. It was refreshing to see a team go with their academy players instead of trying to get the game called off or postponed.

Well done Catalans. See you at old Trafford
