Loop fixtures - nobody likes them. end of. Pity they're here to stay, as a 14 or 16 team league isn't going to happen very soon.

I don't think the talent pool is strong enough to increase the number of teams personally.

I'd quite like to see a traditional home and away season and use the extra weeks for a roses or international comp/proper lions tour, but those days are long gone I think.

I don't think there will be many chairmen wanting to dilute their clubs share of the Sky TV money, either.

I agree use the weekends for proper mid season internationals. England versus the Exiles, at the same time Wales, Scotland, France and Ireland face each other.

As I've said on here before I'm not convinced loop games are huge money spinners, they allow the clubs to add another £15/20 to a pass price for another home game but barely any pay on the day fans are interested in seeing the game games repeated. Only diehard away fans want to go to the same away games on repeat too.

It's not about the income at the turnstiles, well not particularly.
But if you've signed a Sky deal which says we'll give you X number of weekends of action you face them reducing the £40m they pay a year by a proportionate amount if you take them away. And that is distinctly unpalatable.

Fans dont want loop fixtues

Players/journos think we play 2 many games

Clubs dont want to increase the league or reduce their share of cash.

Clubs dont want to reduce number of games due to reduced income.

Tv deal is going to be reduced

Any one got any suggestions how we fix the game? Hahaha

Not sure it's broken?

The TV money will probably mostly go to Superleague this time.

There's some very big crowds at them, why is that pointless?
