Should shed some light on how the general public feel about the game on tatters rather than the losers on here who are so desperate to defend it

"With the general verdict so far being quite negative about the standard of the Rugby League, it is fasciniting to see that over 55% of the responses believe that the RFL is performing to an average to excellent standard. It will be interesting to see the same statistics across all the other governing bodies in the UK to see how they compare."

Slagging off our own sport is something of a sport in itself from some quarters. Glass half empty types who's opinion is both predictable and irrelevant.
It's a game ! And by the way one of he most popular sports on tv watched by people from Shetland to Brighon, are they in this survey?

There's a big difference between slagging off the sport ( which I've hardly ever seen ) and slagging off the administration of it. The latter is in no way incompatible with being a big fan of the sport - if you hate the way something you love is being run, why wouldn't you speak up? You can throw any amount of abuse you like at critics of the RFL, etc. accusing them of being stupid, whingers, paranoid, whatever, but the one thing that makes no sense is to accuse them of hating the sport.
