I can't remember his name, but the guy who anchored Sky's World Cup coverage seemed to have a great knowledge of the game, and was certainly more televisual than Cullen or Offiah. He is a regular on Sky Sports News (or Sky Football News as it should be called).

At about half eleven they showed some highlights of the day's games with just the normal presenters and it was so much better

Maybe so, but the Warrington clubs ‘dirty washing’ shouldn’t be hung out for all to see on National T.V - Christ, I sound like a Jeremy Kyle ‘contestant’.

As an ex-player he should know better, the game gets enough bad press as it is. Give Clarkey a pay rise and get him to do it. He is by far the most knowledgeable pundit on Sky’s books, not a great accolade I know, bearing in mind the competition  .

phil kinsella knows an impressive amount about the game.
always refreshing to hear his views between the inane ramblings of jack dearden and trevor hunt on radio manchester.

That was John Davies. Would seem a bit odd bringing in another SSN anchor but at this stage even a lemon would be an improvement. The strange thing is Offiah was not this bad back then, so just what must he have been doing to himself in the off season?

Michael.

Well i ended up turning off the Comic relief programme (admittingly it was more in the backround) when offiah came on to do the full monty.

Maybe now he can focus on the Rugby.
