Up until last week there was a job advert on the RFL website for a full time referee; that is no longer there.

Thierry Alibert was appointed to replace Ashley Klien. The RFL want 7 full time officials so another full time official needs to be appointed (this is likely to be Jamie Leahy)

In relation to Richard Silverwood, he has been suspended by the Rugby Football League during an investigation into an alleged leak of confidential information.
He is at the centre of a probe into how the Prospect trade union received contact details of all the RFL's match officials.

He is understood to have been stood down on full pay, though he has not refereed in Super League this year due to a knee injury.
