Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

what did he do in the cup semi final?

Is that a wires reply to everything?

Why not actually look at kings game in his first season and look at carmonts and admit that Carmont was miles better like the rest of your fans have done. Second season, King improved but still wasn't a patch on carmont, so far King has been going really well, but he will need to keep it up to be worth his wage.

He took a good 18 months to turn into anything but he looks great now. Perhaps it should put down the myth that Super League is somehow easier than the NRL?

Of course it should. Different leagues, different ways of playing the game.

It also shows that moving 10000+ miles across the planet to join a totally new club/culture isn't as easy as thick Wiganers - who haven't travelled any further than Leigh/Bolton for their cousins' marriage - would love to make out. Some players can do it instantly, others take time.

King has performed consistently well since about the beginning of the Challenge Cup run last season, and is currently the form player in the league.

He's done really well King, particularly this season. In fact, he's nearly got as many tries as Jamie Foster.

Sideshow Bob would have fitted right in at Wigan. That hair style is an improvement of their traditional mullet!

Maybe needs a couple of neck tatoos to complete the look though.....

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions

Re: Matt king : Fri Jul 08, 2011 5:48 pm
He got singled out for abuse from his own fans at Quins away not too long ago. Is bumping this post intended to be some kind of juvenile 'told ya so' effort? Wanky fans
