He will turn them down. Why would he want to go from a team challenging for top 5 to a championship standard team?

Because rugby league players don’t retire millionaires so money will talk. He seemed destined to be leaving Salford at the end of the season anyway.

Possibly it all seems to hinge on this NRL release clause that he apparently wants. As much as I’d like him to sign for Leeds I wouldn’t want to give him that clause.

I would, but I'd only allow it to be triggered at the end of 2020 at the earliest.
I've heard that we could be swapping Tui for Lui as part of the deal, so it'd be good business IMO.

Yes if you could guarantee a full season then fair enough. Otherwise could picture the scene that we get to the eve of the new season and an NRL team lose a HB to a season ending injury in preseason and come calling and it throws your plans into chaos with Hastings leaving.

I doubt it unless leeds will be paying a chunk of his salary for the rest of his contract. I reckon he's been paid way above what salford can afford
