The land the Newmarket Development sits on has been removed from Green Belt status in the new LDF, which makes it increasingly likely that planning for the stadium et al will be granted next week.

No chance the stand is massive and a 52 week build. If you can get tickets for the well then I'd get them it's the standing area below the seated stand.

52 weeks?! You could build a whole stadium in that time!

What's happening with the South Stand now then? Are they still putting a temporary stand there?

Been wondering that myself.

It would be brilliant if they could bring the terracing closer the the pitch somehow, or they could have moved the pitch as part of the new stand!

Hull KR would have a cracking ground if they could get a small terrace near the pitch at the sound end, use it as the away end. What would it need? 1.5k?

It does seem the logical thing to do as currently the South stand is a shambles. I guess it can't be as simple as we all would think or it would already have been done. Maybe planning permission, funding or health and safety could be some of the reasons? I don't know I'm only speculating.

The temp seating will have already been smelted down.
When it came to be dismantled it became clear that is was beyond re-use.

Rovers are hoping to announce the plans for a south stand this month as part of a leisure/hotel complex.
