They think they are, but they don't actually say anything constructive, or make valid suggestions to cause and correction - they just whine and moan

So if you're worried about attendances, you're not an RL fan?

I thought I heard that too.

As you've done for every round, you've utterly ignored context. And, almost certainly, spent more time on this than actually watching any rugby.

He's just printed the numbers. You can add your own thoughts about context. I'm sure if the numbers were the other way round you wouldn't be complaining about context.
Readers aren't morons, we know that games at different times of year etc will show variation. I stand by my guess, and that's all it is, that all in, we'll see about a 10% drop this year. That will be an awful result, but it might not happen. The only good thing about a big drop is that it might just get rid of Wood. Sadly, I think we'd need to be down to single figures before that shameless lot admit they're anything other than leading candidates for governing body of the year.

NRL expansion? Sometime soon, maybe......

I hope to see a weekly round up of attendances and comparisons to previous season though rd by rd rather than opponents would be better.

I originally provided comparative weekly round attendance stats but many complained claiming it was a flawed exercise because it wasn't a comparison between the same fixtures. *Please note that the weekly round attendance comparisons would have received no criticism had they instead conveyed a positive message and evidence of increased attendances.

Round 1 attendances in SL this year = 64387
Round 1 attendances in SL last year = 73720
% fall in attendances = -12.66%

Round 2 attendances in SL this year = 69809
Round 2 attendances in SL last year = 74948
% fall in attendances = -6.86%

Round 3 attendances in SL this year yet to be determined but they'll also more than likely produce another weekly round % fall compared to last year.

You terrible man. Don't you know that posting anything showing a fall in attendances without a full explanation of possible mitigating factors is simply anti-RL pessimism! Get a grip. Or better still, get some advice from Nigel Wood on the best way to dress up these figures. If we start to lose faith in our leader where would that leave us? Before we know it we'll need to find someone else, and with only a six figure salary on offer, where, in this economic boom, could we possibly find a man or woman with so much talent?

Those stats actually have some sort of point to them though

But like all statistics they still need context
You know like when on the news they say "this months retail figures are down but the high street says the bad weather is to blame"

Who knew weather could make people stay indoors
