Kiwis are an odd bunch. They really do become myopic when it comes to their sport and the fact that one of their own was assaulted and the assaulter wasn't shot before being hung drawn and quartered, prior to being set on fire, buried alive and then fed to Lions is somewhat alien to them.
But ask them about the incident below featuring Brian O'Driscoll being lifted and speared by 2 All Blacks v the Lions and it was "part of the game", a nothing incident and not premeditated at all......
Personally, I think the ban should have been for 20 games. The RFL have left themselves open to questioning given that of the 6 months of the ban, the first 5 weeks Flower will essentially be on Holiday then the next 2 months in training, meaning the ban is only really 3 months. Nigels bumper book of spin seems to have been used by the disciplinary now......he's certainly getting his money's worth out of it
