Fantastic news for the game I think, in that he stays at Wakefield. Every club in the league would have taken him and in years gone by one of the previously “big” clubs would have signed him. It’s taken a long time, but the salary cap really has spread the talent more evenly around SL.
In quality terms absolutely, he’s a genuine NRL centre at a top club. Had a few injuries of late but not bad enough not to take a punt, he’s a step up from Hurrell imo. It’s one of those, could be nowt or an absolute mint signing.
Surprised at 3 years sight unseen so to speak but Powell in no mug.
