It really is embarrassing all these so called expansionist fans on here should hang their heads in shame and apologise on this forum but I bet they'll will crawl under the nearest stone and disappear.
Shall the forum be expecting the same courtesy from you and others when Toronto are still in super league this time next year?
Someone posted whether here or on the other site, that they were surprised Liam Kaye was "allowed to leave". Well if they aren't paying the players properly that's a breach of contract so Kaye has every right to go. As for the rest of them, they must now be talking to their agents about the future.
I dunno what talks took place between Lenegan and Argyles lawyers and what the lawyers say the position is, but Argyle is probably stuck with seeing out the season with TWP playing here. If Argyle wants to be a Director at Melbourne Storm then he has to behave as a Director at Toronto Wolfpack, and keep what integrity he has left intact.
Imagine an owner who begrudges paying players and a coach, all whom may be left high and dry for a contract for next year as belts tighten, having to find the enthusiasm and drive to see out a bunch of meaningless fixtures, with a depleted squad. Probably best to keep them off the TV.

Blocked list galliant - When Gutterfax stands alone in a thread out comes his alt account to make it look like he's got support. Gutterfax - Yawnion patronising Troll Lebron James - yet another Yawnion patronising Troll, born watching the wrong sport he knows his beloved yawnion is 100 behind League so tries to talk Yawnion up and league down.
I mean imagine being in any other profession or industry and saying you didn't want new colleagues from thousands of miles away / another country joining your organisation. 'Yes, why do we let these Drs and nurses from thousands of miles away (who are now having visa problems) work for the NHS'.
You would almost certainly end up on some equality and diversity refresher training and worst case scenario you would be out the door shortly after you had finished the sentence.
This is a rugby league forum . you won't get away with your social liberal identity politics poop here.mickey off to twitter you race baiting vertue signallying lover.
Following on from Twitter post hinting at strife in TWP camp Davidson puts meat on the bone and it sounds dire. For all it seemed inevitable the business model was unsustainable and the fact based on another continent made the whole premise impractical it's not good to hear the players are suffering so. Who's to blame? Who did the due diligence for RFL? What will their 17 look like come Aug 2nd? Donnyman was right.
And as above your right to question what the TWP team will look like and play like. but I do feel again as above, Argyle will have to pay contracts up and in return the professional players will have to go out and do their best. Otherwise Argyle may not be seen fit enough to go join an Aussie club, and the players not be seen as professional enough to deserve a contract elsewhere.
Over on the other site there was an interesting tale about a dad and his lad who were involved in TWP's player trials here. Their view of the whole thing was it was just a PR stunt, both the Brighouse thing here and the Grid Iron trials that quickly were dropped there. Posters note that every time this was brought up a contingent of pro-Canadians would shout them down saying "That's not how we do things in Canada and Canadians don't care where the players come from". In the exchanges I was reminded of how post these trials Perez was challenged on the lack of player development and he said that TWP were looking at China as an untapped resource for suitable "Athletes". You couldn't make it up but Perez did.
The most telling tale was an Article in the RL press either League Weekly or League Express by Bob Jowett? The boss of Canada RL whom got a stall at a TWP game to promote Canada RL and sell memberships to boost the funds. He saw Argyle amongst the other stands cheerily saying hello at half time and Jowett hoped that Argyle would pop over and buy a membership. Argyle just breezed past without a word or a dollar to spare.................He and Perez never had any intention of developing players....

Why would Lenagan meet with lawyers acting for a multi-millionaire in a foreign country?
Why would a club owner want to be a director at another club?
Why have you drawn the conclusion that Argyle 'begrudges' paying players and a coach?
Are you not aware that the CEO had problems paying bills that Dr Koukash was unaware were NOT being paid? Are you not aware that the same CEO resides along the M62 corridor? Are you not aware that the Government presides over an infrastructure that I despair at,that has caused problems over visas, that has allegedly made it difficult for overseas people to launder money in the UK by bringing in a system that will miss out on criminals, and only impact on the decent people?
A British banking problem is not the fault of Toronto Wolfpack.

So it's the British banking systems fault now? I shall set up an ice hockey team based in Doncaster and apply for the NHL Fill it with jobbers and one or 2 Ex NHL stars and then not pay them and blame everyone but my own bizarre business model. Any journalists reporting negative news are hacks and any fans voicing doubt about s uch a ridiculous venture are casual racists. It's all ok though because we give away free tickets and have some beer tents. I've read both threads on here and trl and whilst firmly in get rid camp there is no good way this can end for RL and Toronto did indeed follow the path RFL set them so for me it's yet another RFL calamity.
'Thus I am tormented by my curiosity and humbled by my ignorance.' from History of an Old Bramin, The New York Mirror (A Weekly Journal Devoted to Literature and the Fine Arts), February 16th 1833.

Some fair points.
However, I think it is worth flagging that the city of Toronto has a population of 2.7 million, and the greater metropolitan area has 6.4 million. Doncaster has 109,000. The NHL salary cap US$81.5 million. So there are some big differences. Maybe talk of an NFL franchise in London would be a better comparison?
TWP’s squad got them promoted to SL in pretty decent time. In terms of quality, if not depth, it reasonably good for a newly promoted team. With these latest rumours, I’m a bit more confident that we (Hull KR) can avoid bottom spot but I was deeply worried before the fixtures were suspended and I’ll still be a bit nervous if relegation remains in place.
The logistics of playing in Canada were always going to be challenging - although it has largely worked until now and this unprecedented-in-modern-times health crisis. If they collapse in a financial heap through mismanagement or over-reliance on one benefactor, that’ll be a far from unique event in the sport’s history. A big second wave of COVID-19 and SL might collapse before they do. The whole of the sport... the whole of society is in a very uncertain place (obviously).
