I have not expressed a view as to whether Watkins has been at fault - simply that's the side that teams are attacking. Maybe to take the sting out of his attacking brilliance?

at least there will be no heart break this year. can clearly see what will happen next week and we aren't even going to give ourselves an outside chance with points difference. What a dire team we are, completely devoid of half backs and generally any ideas we seem to have gone backwards.

I personally think Watkins is having a better game than most. I also think this is one hell of a boring performance by England. Scotland look far better.

If our outside backs were a main, major or even significant problem we would be winning this game comfortably.

Pedestrian one up forward play, slow disjointed unimaginative halves, a turgid game plan, and absolutely no fluency are our problems.

Complaining about our outside backs is like complaining that the embroidery on the tablecloths ruined your cruise on the titanic

Its not just you though, peoples first instinct is to blame him, same as the RU fans blamed Burgess, same as the football fans blamed Rooney. The reality is none of the teams are good enough to win anything.

Also, if Gale would pass to Lomax instead of giving hospital short passes then Watkins or McGilvery would have scored a couple. He was Lucky in the bounce for the second try, because there was acres of space if he had passed out wide.

Don't think anybody has argued our outside backs are a problem. Agree the forward play, without, Graham is nothing short of pathetic.
