| Apologies, if this has been posted but previously but the following link makes interesting reading!

I understand that the RFL have a £700k charge on the Racecourse ground as part of the deal they struck with Moss & Roberts, so if the Racecourse ground gets sold then the RFL will possibly get some or all of that money back. However, given that Moss & Roberts own the Crusaders and don't have any money to invest, then surely the RFL then I have to think that the Crusaders do not have a viable long-term financial future. I think this is the beginning of the end of Crusaders. There is no way the RFL should really be considering offering the Crusaders another licence if Wrexham FC goes under and the Racecourse ground goes up for sale... I suspect that come the 6th May then this will be all over, unfortunately for Wrexham FC. I think in July the RFL will have no choice but to boot out Crusaders, assuming that they survive that long and suspect they might end up not finishing the season either way!

Yes, I am led to believe so.

| Quote The Chronicler of Chiswic="The Chronicler of Chiswic"Something else to throw into the mix. The BBC are reporting that messrs Moss and Roberts have said that they have no more money to put into the soccer club and HRMC want their loot by the 6th. of May, also that a number of parties have expressed an interest in buying the Racecourse Ground. This may just be an attempt to get Stephanie Booth and/or the supporters' trust to get their fingers out and make a proper offer intead of faffing around making statements to the media, of course, as if Wrexham F.C. go bust a new club probably wouldn't be allowed into the English pyramid but would be consigned to the tender mercies of the Welsh FA. Perhaps there's some mileage in the whisper I heard at the Saints game that the Crusaders will be around next year , but maybe not playing at the Racecourse (with the Deva stadium not up to SL standards the only reasonably local ground would be Shrewsbury - suit me nicely!).'"
They would be allowed back into the English pyramid (probably at Unibond North level) as Merthyr were when they went under last season.

That seems a fairly pro-wakefield reading of that. The Crusaders and WFC arent financially linked. To equate a statement saying the owners dont have the money to pour down what they not only accept to be, but in the very same article pretty much state to be a financial black hole that is WFC and the racecourse (in its current position) with they have no more money for any other venture is crazy.
Crusaders will finish the season, They have already applied for a license. This isnt new news to them. I think its sad that some people are death riding Crusaders because they think that their death will save another club from its own failures.

Could be wrong but I thought the Crusaders, WFC and the ground itself were all tied in by this Wrexham Village lark?

it says in the article
The Crusaders currently have a long lease to play Super League games at the Racecourse and this will not impact on their future.

They may still have a place to play but if the owners have no money and the company is making losses how will they remain solvent?

That would depend on who the lease is with. Presumably the same people own the Racecourse and if that company is insolvent then what is there stopping the ground being sold?

it doesnt say they have no money. It says they dont have the money to be putting into something where they never expect to get back even what they have put in now.

Smokey, do you blame Ian Lenighan for Wigans breaches of the salary cap?

| Not having any more money for WFC could also be read as 'not prepared to put any more money in, and we're fed up with people saying they're going to buy the club and then apparently changing their minds'. It seems to me that the person muddying the waters is Stephanie Booth, and without her something would have been hammered out (possibly literally!) between Moss and Roberts on the one hand and the Supporters Trust on the other by now.
