Is Ellis playing for nowt, like Radlinski did (allegedly) for Wigan a few years back ?

He's a great player (Ellis) to call upon though, a true RL great.

Gareth Ellis was a star in the NRL. That is ample proof of his greatness.

I expect Minichiello will leave/retire at the end of the year with Savelio effectively being his replacement, but why would we want to get rid of him now?

No what makes no sense is Pearson and Radford saying you were up to the cap then you sign Naulogo, Ellis and now Savellio. Either players have been moved on and not announced, Pearson and Radford are lying to the fans or there's some dodgy dealings going on.
