yet some on here would have you believe that the IRB have a slush fund they use to pay the press to ignore RL

The RLWC 2013 organisers need to get that article printed in every newspaper in the country.....even if they have to pay for the space!

Just a thought, but leaks to the odd jurno, is far cheaper way to create a buzz. Also it can be more effective as other jurno's copy the story and then try to put their own spin on it and search out their own sources.

If it was done as a press release all the RL jurno's would publish the same thing at once and the story would be done and gone. This way the same story gets extended and repeated over days as other jurno's pick up the story.

Bit of OT, I ordered some gig tickets through Ticketmaster few months ago for a gig next week and they arrived at my house yesterday but they kept me informed via text message as to when they were to be delivered so they do offer a good service
