The people with the brains in Super League, of whom Ian Lenagan is the supremo, will want Toronto to win tonight. There is simply no advantage to adding a geographical pinprick of a former pit town to a competition that proclaims itself "Super."
Toronto's victory on the other hand, will usher in a burst of media attention, and a reevaluation of the significance of rugby league from a British media that has rightly been contemptuous of the game's regional parochialism. If Toronto can retain its place, and Toulouse is promoted to join it this time next year, then we can look forward to an era of international development and respect.

Assuming that Toronto will be allowed into SL - there were a few issues recently, they will gain promotion on the field of play and not because of their geographical location and as RL is a sport (just) that is exactly as it should be.
One thing in Featherstone Rovers favour, is that there is a hotbed of RL talent locally, which they may be able to draw from and some of their local players will actually get a game next season, unlike their opposition
