So basically you are saying that but for a shock England win in game 1 and a surprise feel good factor 1995 could have been a disaster.
No, that's not what I'm basically saying. What I am basically saying is that's exactly what you are basically saying as your agenda continues to downplay the attendances in the 1995 World Cup as some kind of freak occurrence which only happened because England beat Australia in the opening fixture. I merely agreed with you that the Final in 1995 would have been less well attended if England hadn't qualified for it and NZ had also qualified for it ahead of Australia.

But a world cup with nearly 300k pre-sales with a final that will have a 74k sell out at OT and 40-50k pre-sold for Wembley before a ball is kicked is laughable. On this basis, if we get an England win at Cardiff the potential for the tournament will be sky high. Or have you stopped comparing like for like as you did earlier with your 17k per game post.
I tried to explain to you that back in 1995, the culture was different. Fans bowled up to games paying full price at the turnstiles without the desire or need to pre-purchase a ticket beforehand, hence why citing only 50K in pre-tournament ticket sales back in 1995 in comparison to 2013 is a flawed comparison. The fans back in 1995 didn't need to be bribed to attend the World Cup fixtures with 50% cheap offer deals either.
Does your agenda and associated flawed reasoning plan on highlighting any further negatives with regard to the 1995 World Cup attendances which averaged a healthy 17,707 per fixture?
