Vastman likes to make things up, especially if it fits his anti Leeds agenda, Warrington paid well well above the odds for Morgan smith because they believed he was the next big thing, Leeds would not increase their offer for smith, turns out smith is not the next big thing, and Leeds were right to not pay over the odds, Leeds never pay over the odds for anybody, they believe playing for Leeds itself and buying into the club culture is more important than throwing money at juniors who just think they are it. I doubt Warrington will be so quick to just throw similar money to unproved juniors again.

Going back to vastmans original comment, go on them name these players that Leeds have thrown mega bucks at and have then been duff.
You cannot because they have not, they have broken their pay structure for juniors Cameron smith and Jack Walker, Walker now first choice 1 and smith expected to be first team 13 or bench 13 just behind origin and Aurtrailian rep player Trent Merrin, not a bad player to mentor him.

Smith really was the only one I could think of. Walker had already made first team appearances when he got his new deal and he still could’ve earned more elsewhere.

Two names lad, Owen Trout and Alfie Goddard, I knew both had signed with Leeds long before they did, both friends with my cousin and weirdly similar to what Vastman wrote both lads were the ones in the group who showed up with a brand new sports car... coincidence? Nope...

Not talk king about kids getting good deals, all clubs give good deals to players they really want, but Warrington paid silly money for Morgan smith to snatch him from Leeds, and he has now been released, ps ps trout does look a good un and will probably be first team this year and possibly regular in 2-3 years.

I never understood all the hype around Morgan Smith and neither did I in respect fo Cameron Smith - he was just big for his age. Walker on the other hand is a once in 10 year player such as Kallum Watkins.

Hopefully Morgan Smith agent Craig has learned a lesson with what happened to him and McLennand it is not always about the money its about doing the right thing for the player.

Leeds did pay more than they wanted for Cameron Smith but they certainly didn't for Walker - the dispute was about FT against PT. The idea that Leeds paid big bucks for Golding and Sutcliffe is bonkers
