No, you silly billy. You really should add something about improving your comprehension skills to those wonderful SMART objectives of yours. I didn’t ask HOW a timing issue would lead to Leeds declaring a record profit. I asked WHY Leeds would allow a timing schedule to lead to a record profit.

Leeds, like all companies, will pay tax on their profits. Why would they engineer, or allow, a timing issue to lead them to declare profits higher than they otherwise would have been? It seems awfully strange for the best run RL club in the country, one which has a history of minimising its tax exposure and working with other companies within its group to do so, to allow themselves to be over-exposed to tax because of “amortization schedules, depreciation, interest, revenue recognition rules, etc, etc etc” I.E things they were aware of and able to plan for.

Do you know? Or was ‘timing issues’ just a guess, a hope, a punt, just a reason which meant you didn’t have to look at your own bias, and not in anyway grounded in evidence or logic? Just something which allowed you to ignore results that didnt fit with your bias.

I can't even remember what bias I'm accused of this time. Are you now saying that it's good that Leeds attendance is falling because it makes them more profitable? Am I biased against or for this phenomenom? I'm lost, I really am. Can we just stick with my bias against the RFL? It's all too confusing trying to be biased against everything.

We really are in the twilight zone here...attendances are just fine, but hang on, even if they're not, it doesn't matter, because you can make just as much or more profit with less fans. You're talking utter bilge.

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

Incredible that over 5000 turned up in those conditions. Braver souls than me!

I am hoping William declares this particular game void from the statistics given the extremely strange weather conditions , he should put it as a ' draw ' with last years

William , you should do the honorable thing and declare this weekends matches as ' Void ' due to the 50 year winter we are currently experiencing

Sorry, but the prevailing weather conditions are no excuse for the poor turnout. Nigel Wood himself bragged about SL attendances last year when he said, and I quote... "In what were atrocious weather conditions, it shows how committed our supporters were in turning up in massive numbers for the opening weekend of the 2012 season".

Anyhow, I wouldn't want Smokey accusing me of fudging/voiding the figures now would I?
