The game between Toulouse and Leigh was 3 trys each, with Leigh winning on goal kicks. If that means the wheels have come off for Toulouse, Leigh shouldn’t hold much hope for this season either.
Ironically this years middle 8’s competition, which is set to be the last, looks like it could be the most competitive, with Toronto, Toulouse and potentially Leigh all been able to trouble the lower Super League sides in Widnes, Salford and Hull Kr.

That is a massive result for Leigh. If they'd lost today I don't think they would have made the top 4, but I think they will probably nick 4th spot now.

Their wheels have not come off Toulouse, we are just enjoying our win, with quite a few regulars missing. I imagine THAT comment was just a dig at Jean Capdouze, who would have already posted something by now if we'd have lost. We have beaten Salford already, we can compete in the 'middle 8's' if we get there.

One sounds a little bitter that Leigh won on French soil.

Pinched from elsewere
Remaining fixtures (bold for games against Top 6).
The best finish to a Championship season I can remember, with 5 teams fighting for the 3 spots below Toronto.
Assuming that Toronto win all their remaining games, and the other 5 all manage to win all their games against teams outside the top 6 (this is highly improbable and tbh a little disrespectful to the other teams), then it pans out that...
- Toulouse have 32 points, plus 4 more up for grabs against London and Fax - Fev have 30 points, plus 4 more up for grabs against Fax and London - Fax have 29 points, plus 6 more up for grabs against Fev, London & Toulouse - London have 28 points, plus 6 more up for grabs against Toulouse, Fax & Fev - Leigh have 32 points
The games played between each of these teams are all massive, with 32 (or possibly 31) points looking like the cut-off point for 4th place.
Of course this could all change if either Toronto implode or some of the other contenders lose games they'd perhaps expect to win (Fax don't have a great record against Swinton, our next game tomorrow).
