From what Toronto are saying the governing bodies haven't done much about it for months and seems like Toronto have had enough so decided to get it out in the public domain. The fact Toronto can't deal with the home office directly must be extremely frustrating as I know I wouldn't want the RFL or SL to handle the issue. Those guys couldn't run a bath.

Maybe you can now see what's going on and why a Billionaire doesn't particularly want to pay his bills at Wolfpack anymore.

It is entirely up to clubs to sort their own issues out so don't go blaming SL or the RFL for this, Argyle and Perez tried this crazy dream and good for them for trying but at no stage did they ever really want all the hard work of developing the Canadian RL game. Once they had bought their way to SL they found they were not wanted. Argyle is a good fit for Melbourne and good luck to him......

As for Perez and Wilby they are left high and dry.

Sorry mate but if you think SL clubs like TWP because they can share their cut of the SKY deal then do you think they will let Ottawa and New York in so they can take their share of the SKY deal as well? It's a nonsensical argument because there would be no Superleague on this basis as SKY would pull the plug.

I accept it isn’t an argument that cannot be extrapolated very far, certainly in terms of replacement.

Donnyman wrote:
As for Bradford IIRC the local council were charging them heavily for Odsal so they left. Now the local council have a hole in the ground costing them money and Bradford ratepayers are pretty cheesed off as their club is lost to the city.

Nigel Wood may not be many peoples cup of tea, but he's smart enough to be able to cut a deal and organise for the Bulls to come back. Just as much as there can be a downward spiral, there can be an upwards one as well.

Bradford Northern (1964) Ltd was just one upward spiral. Suggest you look that one up?

Bradford could emerge from this difficult era and return to SL one day - that is perfectly possible. Especially if there is heavy and sustained investment. I just think that any help they get from the RFL shouldn’t extend beyond that available to all member clubs. Toronto will succeed or fail. If they fail then somebody else will get a chance - the RFL don’t need to be artificially bolstering one club just to have a viable alternative to Toronto. And it wouldn’t be politically viable or affordable anyway.

no one seems to be questioning your post on your links are they now realising the inevitable will happen and Argyle is now trying to find an exit away from SL.
Why would you loan out Liam Kay that has no visa problem

Most people have realized there is little point responding at the moment because he never replies back to anything that he's pulled up on.

Once he's dissected your post and removed the parts that aren't convenient to his rhetoric and does not have an answer for, he'll then throw in a few he says, she says plus a few pointless emojis and a bit of schoolboy sarcasm, then he's good to go.

It would make sense to replace the bulls for Toronto in the superleague, and talks are going on

Would it really ?
The Bulls, once a very good SL side, are a shadow of the club from the glory years.
Right now, they are a mid table Championship club, playing at Dewsbury. There are 4 or 5 clubs ahead of them in the pecking order, one of which is Toulouse.
Toronto seem absolutely nailed on for the wooden spoon but, unless someone can quickly revive The Championship, it's difficult to see how ANY club could legitimately be promoted and not Bradford - not yet.
Everyone craves the return of the Bulls but, unless they are going to blow a fortune and go pop, again. It's more likely that we would see them struggling to survive relegation, than it would be to see the glory days return.
Toulouse, Leigh or Fev are the only unbeaten club from the early games.

As Donny suggested, they could have a round robin comp - winner gets promoted.

However, it's far more likely that TWP will be exempt from relegation and that the battle for promotion (and relegation) starts again next season.

Love the borderline casual racism on this thread.

I mean imagine being in any other profession or industry and saying you didn't want new colleagues from thousands of miles away / another country joining your organisation. 'Yes, why do we let these Drs and nurses from thousands of miles away (who are now having visa problems) work for the NHS'.

You would almost certainly end up on some equality and diversity refresher training and worst case scenario you would be out the door shortly after you had finished the sentence.

Ey, get used to it. We've had to listen to the blinkered Little Englanders on 'Future of the Game' thread for months. Same old racist rubbish with little understanding of what is really happening in the game globally.

The questions that came my way thick and fast generally had no substance, and were the usual baiting. There's a better discussion on TRL albeit spoiled by angry TWP and so called "expansionist" fans. Right from the start forgetting anything English Superleague clubs or fans have said and done.......

Mr Perez sat there on TV and told Dave Woods he would expand the game to Canada by finding quality RL players by grid iron conversions "pretty quickly" and get a large paying North American TV deal

That was the quid pro quo return for the English game to allow North American clubs in. Neither of these things came along instead an empty shell of a club used as a plaything for a Billionaire appeared that merely ran up massive bills many not paid, whilst Perez scuttled about providing more blasts of hot air about New York and Ottawa and other phoney clubs who were apparently ringing him.

There is an element of desperation in our game for it to "expand" hence some of us swallow this rubbish, but we are in the grip of Rugby Union in the Northern Hemisphere which is a heavily stronger and direct competitor. Where League has the edge it will expand like we see over in Australasia, where it doesn't survival is the key word. When your surrounded by the Enemy it is important to have what you hold, and to hang onto it in the face of adversity.

Not plan to throw out real clubs for phoney ones.

Adding that Rimmer sees the opportunity of increasing his already massively over paid wad it's no wonder he'll not decline clubs from over America

That only counts if the four or five clubs ahead of them in a league table even qualify for Superleague, in terms of their finances and other criteria. Leigh may be ahead of them due to Mr. Beaumont (but I doubt this). Featherstone are not ahead of them as their owner cannot afford SL and has a club that is generally Leeds "A" team.

You have no idea what deal Bradford council may be doing over Odsal to get the Bulls back there, you have no idea the extent to which Mark Sawyer may be involved and organising a board of directors with Nigel Wood that may have the finances to compete at the top again. Most of all you are oblivious to how far the SL bosses may want to go to ensure Bulls return or maybe Newcastle provide some real expansion or both. Certainly SL bosses asked Bulls and Newcastle to run reserves - they didn't ask Fev or leigh did they?

Don't you remember a time when the league table was a total irrelevance? It was not that long ago.
