I don't know where your coming from with this. When they're good, they're the best team in the league at the moment. They've been off colour and Bradford have exceeded all expectations in getting back into a game even their manager had written off. Still wigans game but is teams would have fallen when they stood.

They're decent. A couple of their players are excellent and they have a good coach. That's probably enough to be the best team in the current league. I expect them to win this game, against an awful side, by 40 points. They are nowhere near, in my opinion, most of the Saints or Leeds teams of the last half-dozen years, or the Saints or Bradford teams before that, not to mention NRL teams.



But to hear the Sky commentators they're better than all of that. That's where I'm coming from.

I think they'd stand up pretty well against Leeds but there was a Saints team not long back who would eat them for breakfast. However, I think they are a Very good side and whilst I'm not one to talk up the sky team they are always going to talk up the best team in the competition, even if Clarkey brings wigan up every five minutes even in games they aren't involved in.

Which goes to show it's nothing to do with the cap or relative competativeness of teams



One sided scores are far more to do with how the game is played these days. And how the rules are interpreted.

It was always going to be a nothing game from the minute Wigan won the semi final.

Isn't there also a bit of an attitude problem across SL as well? In the NRL when a team ships a lot of points there's a genuinely a shocked reaction, and you rarely see a team get hammered two weeks in a row - beaten yes, but not humiliated. A lot of SL sides seem to simply shrug their shoulders and walk to the next beating. I also cannot recall seeing an NRL side throw in the towel quite as obviously as SL teams do on occasion.

I take your point, but when was the last time you saw as big a mis-match as when Wire/Wigan played someone like Wakefield or Quins?

I was thinking exactly the same thing. whilst it does happen it would be a very extraordinary game.

Not sure how interpretation of the rules would affect this, if the PTB was implemented to the letter of the law the margins would be even bigger.

SL has become a game of running hard fast and straight with few risks, if a defending team can handle that but the other team cannot uncompetitive scorelines are enviteable. The majority of teams have to sort out their defences, tackling and reading of the game.
