Funny because looking at the photo's I saw little continutiy for most trades.
£25m stadium being built with one crane and one cherry picker?
Netting up on the roof but no cladders?
Sommat not right there.
And yes, I have worked on them.
Has go slow written all over it.
These pictures have clearly been taken when the site is not working, either one evening or on a weekend. While the crane with the luffing jib is extended, along with cherry picker along side having it's basket parked at height, I don't think you have noticed the 50/75 tonne parked alongside folded down, or at least the three other cherry pickers also folded down.
The nets are up for 80% of the roof but the roof steelwork still needs completing at both ends, most probably done that way for temporary stability reasons as cantilever stadium roofs need some thinking about when it comes to erection sequence. Unless the programme dictated it why would you let the roof cladders start until the nets were 100% complete? I also suspect they will want to start at one end and come one way. Also, they might not actual start on the roof cladding for quite some time yet. Roof cladding is a quick operation and the subbie might not want to do multiple visits or risk catching the steelwork up, a possibility! A large proportion of the metal deck is in and it looks like some of concreted already.
It just looks like a decent project, early in the programme, on the go to me!
