Will he really, makes you wonder why he's left the NRL doesn't it

Can't wait to see you trying to still prove your point at the end of next season if he flops like Jake Mamo and David Mead have in recent years - just to name a few.

You're utter obsession with past it Aussie - and lets be straight - every Aussie in SL is not good enough for the NRL otherwise there is no reason for them to leave - please don't insult us by claiming it's money, the NRL is awash with cash for those who are good enough.

Not saying that most of these ex NRL are poor, far from it in some case but your ridiculous hyperbowl around every 'name' player signed for SL is both laughable and sad.

Come back in twelve month time and if he's in the dream team and MOS i'll gladly eat my words.

You are really comparing Jake Mamo and David mead to Trent merrin, they are not even in the same ball park. Not many current origin and Australian players have switched to super league at 29 years old. Massive signing for super league not just Leeds.

Correct, nothing happening this year for us. However, at the end of 2019 we have the following out of contract, off the top of my head:

Talanoa - will leave
Paea - will leave
Sneyd - potential to leave
Manu - will leave
Minichiello - will leave
Washbrook - will leave
Westerman - potentially another deal
Faraimo - would expect to get a new deal

So that is a lot of salary cap, and most of our overseas players will not be here in 2020, so big recruitment for next year needed, and I hear we already have offers on the table for a couple of NRL players..

Agreed.

I'm not comparing I'm stating that many of these player don't live up to expectations regardless of reputation or relative ability.

He may well be a superstar but there are no guarantees and he could just as easily crash and burn - he wouldn't be the first.

So I suggest SKS does his bragging after not before the event.

He's a better player than either of those and many others that Sir Kev & Jean have so boringly hyped up the last couple of years or so. He's a really hardworking well-rounded backrower and leader, who's game generally doesn't really dip that much from game to game & should do really well in SL. Only nitpicking but his form hasn't been what it was previously the last year or so, maybe why he didn't get Origin or Aus selection this year. ATEOTD though he's still a cut above just about all NRL players that have been really hyped up on here and a 4 year deal at 29 is no doubt what made him come over, plus probably a really good salary.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

Really surprised to see Merrin and Linnett in super league. I'll be surprised if they miss a tackle between them next year.
Won't be massively popular with the fans as they "won't break enough tackles".

Yes some imports do flop, and if he flops it will be a big one a very big one, but he is still one of the best forward signings from Nrl for a number of years, and you hoping he flops is probably wishful thinking, rather than based in reality. But nothing is a given.

The Hull FC Chairman’s frustration came after the defeats to Wakefield ( 72-10) & Warrington ( 80-10)

The. Chairman promised that players would leave the club and those that had signed contracts and refused to leave would be “ shipped out to Doncaster “

He also promised to re-vamp the squad and sign 3 or 4 players to take the club to a new financial level .

It will be interesting to see who Hull FC sign . Adam Pearson must have some signings to announce soon.
