Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity

Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

Orrell perhaps, ( it'll do fine in 2016 in the Championship ) but ' Central Park ' , no chance

Fev are sat on around 8 acres owned by the club, not the clubs owner

You can consider Huddersfield a charity too then ;) (I honestly don't know enough about their financial situation to have a discussion about it, I admit I went off their recent on field success as an assumed indicator, if this is not the case, I retract my comments)

Yes they are

Fair enough

And how would you know who owns it?

I think you will find that the Orrell is owned by the club and not IL. Also i have no idea how much Fev land is worth but there must be reason they haven't developed or sold it? I know Orrell is worth quite a lot and if Wigan Didn't have a 14-16 thousand average attendance it could be developed into Wigan's Stadium but as it is it suits a purpose and is still an asset that somebody tried to make out wigan didn't have.

Fair enough, nice of Mr Leneghen to buy you somewhere to call home , Fev havent sold PO road because they havent ever put themselves in a position of having to, unlike your good selves and a few other ' better run ' SL clubs

According to a (albeit quick) google search, Central Park is owned by central training limited (or at least appears so) which, in turn is owned by Jeanette Williams.

I can't find any link between her and the club, but maybe a Wigan fan knows better.

Anyway this is getting some way off topic ...

So let's just see how this all pans out I think it will be ok bug I might be wrong time will tell.

You thoroughly deserve to have a shot at the big time IMO.

It must have been an insufferable six years watching your team win league after league, however, you appear to believe the majority of Wakefield fans are totally against promotion & relegation.

This is far from the truth, the problem many have is the method which it is to be implemented. Many would rather see a straight one up / one down, with a season’s exception, quite a few would prefer two up / two down.

Yes you finally can see a glimmer of light, but the method that has been agreed gives underperforming teams in the SL a second bite of the cherry which will impede your own clubs aspirations.
