SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!
I'm not Stephen Hawking but I make that an increase on 2013 of 238 which is + 3.7% increase on last seasons attendance .
Maybe if you went to a game or two each round instead of battering us with your Phil Clarke-esque statistical montony it would knocked up your averages up by now a point or two ?
Is there a week that goes by on this thread when William DOESN'T post incorrect figures
As I said , I am just posting the number [ thats if william doesnt sneak in before me ] , i am not discussing the * and * issue , I just want to see all clubs progressing , and all clubs being given help where needed , ideally by the use of a strategy with clear aims and targets , not just ' waffle '
Smokey keeps referring me to all kinds of documents which explain the RFL's "strategy". It doesn't make any sense to me, but he also explains that I don't understand strategy, so it must just be me. Seems like they've got it all sorted out and we can just sit back, relax, and wach the game grow.

We have watched the game grow for 10+ years without you actually contributing, so why after 6 rounds, have you decided everything is going to change now and you can't sit back, relax and watch the game grow?
The question of the appropriate time window over which to assess how things are going is a good one. Clearly comparing one week to the next is too short for useful info, but then I'm not sure of the useful value of comparing with the start of SL either ( its interesting, but not practically useful). I mean, sure, we can say its better or worse than year X ( take anything between 1895 and 2012) but really all that matters is "how are we doing now?, are we doing the right things to make sure the curve is in the right direction? Are we doing any wrong things that are holding back growth?" People call this pessismism, I don't know why, but my attitude to it is: if attendences seem, on reasonable evidence, to be drifting a bit lower, we should be on it in a flash to get it fixed, and if they're higher, we should be asking what we need to do to make them even higher - including of course identifying those positive factors which are working and seeing if they can be further enhanced.
In other words, the exact opposite attitude to that of: making excuses for falls, and resting-on-laurels when things rise. Its not pessimism, its wanting the game to be the best it can be.
That’s an impressively contradictory post. Well done.
Exactly my point when posting the Championship averages for this year, the question is , are the figures acceptable today, not wether they are better or worse than the past, and also are they the best we can achieve, if they are not, then why not, and what can be done to improve them
So what is this 'good' abstract figure which the championships should be getting and how was it decided without reference to any other attendances?
There may exist a remote possibility that you are concerned about your beloved Hull FC's home attendances this season which show a 6.87% decrease compared to last year for the same fixtures. However, if that figure doesn't concern you enough, perhaps the 14.77% decrease compared to 2011... or the 20.10% decrease compared to 2010... or the 12.80% decrease compared to 2009... or the 12.46% decrease compared to 2008 might make you sit up and notice?
No?
Oh well... you are from Hull after all.
For sarcasm to work properly it has to come from someone who possesses a brain, so you're out. Whether I care or not about my club won't be changed by some troll (here you are again) posting reams and reams of stats which other posters have proved to be incorrect. My concern for my club is no concern of yours.

Personally I'd say at a level where all the clubs in the Championship could spend at the maximum salary cap for that league without needing unearned investement and all break even or prefferably see a profit that could be reinvested into ' infrastructure ' and ' facilities '
A bit like the stated aims of SL
