He has made the statement on the back of bastian leaving to tell the fans what the plans are..
I'd rather have news like this coming from my club rather than what comes out of a few others..
I don't know where rovers would be without mark Campbell and then feisal came in to add a bit more clout.

It's nice to know that my dream may just not be impossible..

News? You get more detail in a Reuters report - apparently some investors are going to invest some money and are going to buy some players! Basically, an announcement to say that there won't be any announcements for a month, but trust us, even though we've just figured out the value of finishing in the Top 2 this season, we've got it all under control (honest!)

Well let's just see what happens in 4 weeks.
The new coach has to be a popular choice though can't afford to get it wrong again.

Well everything was put in place at featherstne before the RFL decided to add the 500k for the top 2. So actually finishing in the top 2 wasn't initially very important.

The BOD decided to stick with their original plan and see how it went. Unfortunately it hasn't worked out and they cant risk not finishing in the top 2. Investment or not no one throws away 500k.

Maybe we should just just forget this dodgy investment, blow every penny we have and go into admin to get out of our mess like Leigh do. Thats a much better business plan.

If featherstone have the multi million pound investment, which doesn't need to be paid back, what is 500k vs the plan to get to super league (which will pay far more)?

If everything is as good as it's being made out to be, the "importance" of finishing top 2 wouldn't change because of prize money ...

No one gets rich throwing 500k away. Plan was always to aim for SL in 2015. This was supposed to be a transitional season, no Powell no Finn. Signed some quality youngsters etc. Its obviously clear some of the players the new coach signed are not good enough.

No one gets rich investing in rugby league. Or sport. And it's not supposed to be making money, because these people don't want their money back supposedly...

The plan for super league 2015 would be more important than top 2 this year, if money isn't an issue, as mystery donors appear to claim

He couldn't, given Leigh haven't been in administration for over a decade. But let's not let facts get in the way.

As I'm sure you understand, after our Chairman's company was bankrupted by a big failed creditor, we did receive a forward on our central funding. Clearly that money had to be repaid in reduced central funding in future years.

But yeah, we're a model example of how not to run a club
