And yet, numerous coaches in both the NRL and SL have continued to select him week in, week out. In many cases, despite having a number of supposedly better (according to opposition fans) options available.

They clearly are missing something that you and the other whiners in this thread can see - you really should take up elite level coaching with such amazing insight.

I did think Westwood got away with a pearler on Webb, but at the same time like they said on the NRL game commentary i watched last weekend when Tahu gave a penalty away while in possession inside the oppo 20, "like my old coach said, when you've got the ball in your hand, they can bite your face off and you shouldnt react".

I don't think Webb has changed since 2005 at NZ Worriors he has always been agressive, petulant and questionable tackle technique. Not been his biggest fan last year but his attack has drastically improved on last year, and is creating chances in attack

Its seems a minority of Wigan supporters have developed this 'Webb syndrome'. Apparently they can only be defeated if their is a conspiracy/foul play or they just couldnt be bothered, Its impossible for the opposition to just be better than them on the day.

I don't even think he is the best full back at the club any more. Look all over our board and most people agree. I think he is only there this year because we have an average 3/4 line age of about 7

The alternatives would be competent full backs but I can't see any of them offering Webb's attacking advantages - which is why he remains key IMO.
