If Garbutt can stay fit he's one of the best props in the league, sadly he's struggled in that regard in the last 2 years.
He’s had a tough year this year but he’s not the injury crock that’s being made out by some, he played in 26 of 36 games in 2017 so not bad at all for a prop. Averaged around 140m in both that year and 2016. This year in 9 games he’s made the following (with a knee that wasn’t right from the start apparently)
123m
194m
152m
165m
160m
127m
150m
141m
12m from only 2 carries due to injury
Take away the shortened game because of injury and that 151m a game. That’s double what most props give you. Also some fans trying to say it might be his attitude and Sinfield is getting rid of anybody whose attitude isn’t right.....this is the same Sinfield who was captain and dressing room leader that saw Ryan Bailey in the prop department for a decade.
Only reason I think it’s happening is Furner wants his own big money overseas signings, which is fine if they are very good but at the moment he and Sinfield look to be peeing into the wind praying for a signature.
