salford wont be spending as much as previously, thats why the incomings are uninspiring now... could be a long slippery path downwards now and the fans that wanted koukash gone will soon be wishing he was back!

Tbf that could be said of most SL clubs, your club itself has hardly set the tranfer scene alight just lately.

I've always thought Clare's best position is FB. Whenever he played there for us, he was outstanding.

Don't agree. Trinity have proved you can be very competitive on a low budget - if Salford have some smart people in charge they will do OK, though this season will most likely be really tough.

Like another poster said huddersfield have hardly announced any Cameron Smith esq type signings, you'll be in the same boat when Davy goes, however Koukash is appointing a board of trustees, and I'll guarantee he'll still be pulling the strings.

Luckily for Salford I think Super League will expand to 14 teams in 2019, if not I can only see them in a battle with Hull Kr for the drop.

By competitive you mean one half decent season in 50 seasons?

Yep about the same as Hudds have managed in that time despite being bankrolled by Monty Burns and way better than Salford have done under MK.
