| Quote bewareshadows="bewareshadows"Ok I'll chuck my 2p worth in.
To me it looks like there can be a danger of colussion (spelling).
However, this is the case and always has been the case in any family run business. The law can cover most aspects of life, but if I wish to buy something off ebay and I don't have the cash to win, who is to know if my wife gives me an interest free loan or gift.
I get why it makes people uncomfortable. But there is little the law can do regarding this. If Mr Koukash turns up at Bradford and starts telling them to drop certain games then fine someone can tape it. But within the confines of his own home he can do as he wishes.
I doubt Mrs Koukash is her own man so to speak, but really it's bleating about a situation no one can do much about.
All relationships are different some couples split everything, some keep finances separate and all the combinations inbetween. But this is something done verbally and internally within a relationship, very few couple actaully have documents to describe there financial goings on. (until divorce when the courts have to decided who owns what)
You can think it's great you can think she's a proxy owner. But there is little anyone can do to prove or legislate for it.'"
Agreed. And I apologise for the other Bulls poster. Hit headed indeed.
Regarding her showing her own income Streams, is this really the case? Think it's been mentioned before, but if I won the euro millions, I wouldn't have any income stream. I don't know the rules inside out but all I have seen in the press is there are no rules that say this can't happen.
The fantasy idea that Bradford or Salford could throw a game is laughable. It just will not happen. It's not a computer game where you can just set one team to lose. Koukash would have to ask the coach/players to do this. Again it won't happen. Players and coaches do not throw games. The fans wouldn't put up with it ad wouldn't it be illegal anyway.

| Quote Magic Superbeetle="Magic Superbeetle"My knowledge of the matter is a little hazy, but wouldn't a prenup be required for that to be a viable case? I have no idea if they do, but it's the only way she could have confirmed income regardless of what occurs (imagine the "doomsday example" of the doc and his wife splitting leaving her with no income and the bulls!)
It's hardly impossible to set up a situation for her to have provable facility to run the bulls day to day, and it would be hard to prove a situation like the one I posted earlier might occur. Only word from the rfl and administrator will prove the case!
It's certainly a very race horse owner thing to do that's for sure
'"
A prenuptial for what? Not sure which part you are referring to.
It is impossible to have her having provable income. They are a household so income is shared regardless who is earning it. But a household can not be an owner. Just an individual. They would have to be joint owners as a household.

I agree. None of it is provable. So arguing it should be stopped is a none starter. The collusion for me is more strategic t game to game. Out simply. If Bradford survive. Koukash goes from 1/14 th to 1/6th influence. Not a monopoly. But a dominant player.

And arguably the most powerful individual figure in British rugby league. His next move will be disbanding or breaking away from the RFL and forming a new governing body. This will free the sport from future obligations with Sky Sports and allow for an improved TV broadcasting deal to be negotiated. Fantasy?
Who knows? Dr Koukash could become the Bernie Eccleston of Rugby League if he wants to be.

More likely Mrs K buys the Bulls, Dr K buys Bradford City.
Mrs K buys lease back off RFL, and then moves the Bulls to Valley Parade...no opposition from new owner at the football club:wink:
The Koukash family then develop Odsal into a small race track with hotels, casino's etc....a bit like the land he's eyeing surrounding Salford's stadium.
Bet I'm closer to the mark....

| Anyone seen the video where Mrs Koukash talks about buying the Bulls? (Actually, it's more Dr Koukash doing the talking)
[urlhttp://www1.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/rugby-league/9212410/koukash-confirms-bradford-bid[/url
Reminded me of those videos where Saddam Hussein paraded bewildered children in front of the foreign press. Absolutely no doubt who's in control there.

The giveaway was when his wife Mandy turned around and looked at the Doc everytime she was asked a direct question.

Do I take it that "smash" is now considered an offensive word on Sky in a post Richard Keys world?
