Please accept my apologies for my spelling mistake, I promise I won't scour this site for any spelling or grammatical errors that you may have made as that would just be petty

So, you think that Yeaman is the a wingers centre then?

He's showing he is a quality centre so far this season, as most are commenting.

I think he is a good player

What I said was that he is not a wingers centre - a good wingers centre will make many opportunities for their outside man, I don't see this with Yeaman (and I'm not just picking on him, the same criticism can be levelled at Ryan Atkins etc)

Again, do you disagree?

Who is a good English "winger's" centre?

Him and Briscoe are scoring plenty of tries this year in a poor team. They aren't letting many in down that side (most of Hull's tries this year have come down Will Sharp's side as he is always caught on the overlap).

Yeaman seems to be backing up well and creating his own tries, as is Briscoe.

I don't see many decent left centres in the SL at the moment, and Yeaman is having a great season. He's not exactly old or past it. He's coming into the prime of his career, and he didn't disappoint the last time he played at this level. I think he deserves a chance, myself. Better than putting someone like Lee Smith there again (a real winger's centre!) or a youngster that clearly isn't ready and will probably just lose confidence.

Same old same, win two games and they've got a team of world beaters all of a sudden.

Perhaps your problem is you think that one player makes a team? As that is all we are talking about here, one player. And you're talking about a team?

Even before we were actually playing well this season, Yeaman has been by far one of the few stand out players for us. Says something in a poor side.

We don’t have many, that’s for sure

I think the closest thing we have to a classic centre, one who looks to make space for his winger with clever positioning, running and good handling is Bridge... all the rest are in the ‘athletic’ category... which is not a bad thing if we build our game plan around it (actually, that’s a disservice to Shenton who is also a pretty good all round centre). What I would really like is the strong athletic centres who were also wingers centres – like Miles, Newlove and Meninga. Luckily, it seems that Australia and New Zealand aren’t producing these players now either

Or, it could be that I’m getting old and falling into the ‘wasn’t like that in my time’ trap... who knows!

Yeamon’s understanding with Briscoe is that Briscoe understands that Yeamon will never pass to him

Imagine how good Briscoe would look if he had a wingers centre inside him

But Briscoe still has 7 tries for the season, so Kirk needs some credit for that too.

From watching Hull this season it looks like Yeaman is passing far more to his winger than he ever used to.
