T-Mak has been shortlisted for the Golden Boot. Neither Jerry, Uate or Johnstone have been. Johnstone hasnt even been named in the england team. Therefore T-Mak is the best winger in SL

Never known such an ordinary player been so highly rated, he is a decent SL player and nothing more. Every time he has played against TJ in the past few seasons he has been dominated in every aspect. There are quite a few SL wing men I would take in my side before Makinson, is he really any better than BJB?

The irony is, Huddersfield have 2 great prospects, the senior twins, who could easy nestle on the wing and score 20 tries a piece. They'd probably warrant 20k each. This new lad will be on upwards on 120k. I think in England we are blessed with talented wing men. Therefore, I reckon Huddersfield would have been wise to invest elsewhere.

Not a dig at Huddersfield, but I recall playing them June time and they had 13+ players missing and some of their kids stood up well and deserve to be playing week in week out.

There is a good chance McGilvary or Uate will be injured at some point in the year giving the Seniors a chance to play some first team games.

Not many Super League clubs would give a starting spot to an 18 year old who has played a handful of Super League games. The Seniors need to go out on loan to a Championship club to aid their development.

imagine the young senior twins and what they will learn from uate... great idol for them to look up too and he will bring them on and eventually could both replace mcgillvary and uate

I too think there money would be better invested elsewhere on the field however I think you are vastly underrating the job of a modern day winger. Bringing the ball out from the back has become just as an important part of our game for a winger as finishing tries... JG is fantastic at this (Probably one of the best in the world) and Uate really isn`t that far behind him, I think kickers will definitely be looking to find touch next season against Hudds!

yep do they kick to uate or macgillvary for the returns!!

Spot on again, you’re doing well. What did I say about player propaganda - take the red V off his shirt and he’d be pretty much unnoticed.

TJ picked his pocket numerous times last season but some people won’t believe there own eyes and yes BJB must be the most under rated player in SL.

Was he also dominated in the game where Makinson scored two try’s to Johnstone’s zero and was named man of the match?

I'm sure Uate is a marquee player. Even if not, i'd imagine he's on more than 120k. The senior twins have hardly made any appaearnces, to then make them starters would be nuts IMO they'll get a shot when injuries kick-in.

And to stick mu neutral opinion on the Makinson/Johnstone spat. I'd personally choose Makinson over Johnstone. Johnstone will get his turn and is a cracking winger. For me Makinson just egdes it but Johnstones certainly snapping at his heels to keep him on top of his game.
