He has already stated they will be here next year and rightly so
If there is to be no relegation this season, it doesn't really matter whether they fulfil their fixtures, so providing assurances are given for next season where's the problem, that's if you believe what donnyman wants you to believe that after next season along with the dragons they'll be kicked out of super league anyway, and if it's true that the championship clubs won't play again this season, what criteria do you use to select a side for promotion.

This is the correct outcome as neither Leigh, Fev or Bradford have warranted being handed a place in SL.
Even as a Bradford fan I agree with you. Popping an unprepared Championship side into SL, however worthy, isn't sensible and should only be seen as an absolutely last resort. 2020 is about muddling through, helping the clubs bank balances etc and I'm certain that this shouldn't involve muddying the waters with Championship teams. Perhaps my fellow fans at this level should take it on the chin and accept promotion aint happening. Now I admit that's more of a blow for the best among us (I don't include Bradford in that as we weren't going to be troubling the promotion race) but it's logistically a bad idea IMO.
To be honest, when it comes to Super League, I'd play the games but historically not regard 2020 as a full and proper season in the official records. I'm sceptical that the champions of SL 2020 will have earned the right to be regarded in the same way as everyone who won it before and after.
I think Widnes stand a good shout amongst others if you look at certain criteria. But if it isn’t Widnes and Toulouse, Leigh or Fev get the nod, then I’m all for it. As long as Toronto do not retain their status next season The pandemic has been a terrible thing but eventually the game needs to restart, and kick on. I wish no financial troubles to any Toronto player and back room staff but as a club who have personally withdrawn from the competition, they need to go
There you have it, (certain criteria) there's quite a few clubs you could choose from if you pick certain criteria for a certain club, but picking criteria to give every club the same opportunity isn't that easy without showing favouritism.

Happy to buy their way through league one and the championship at the expense of other clubs, happy to throw million dollar contracts at SBW but not willing to buy your way through survival for the remainder of the season. It hasn’t been sustainable.
I can't speak from experience personally but I doubt there are many foolish multi millionaires in this world, this chap has put his money where his mouth is and as much as he's more sway than you and me he won't be able to buy his way through a governments legal system, half his players have no visas therefore no right to even be in the country, he's simply no players and very little room or time to do much about it, maybe he's cut his losses and gone, or maybe he's doing something about it behind donnymans back, time will tell I suppose.

I can imagine a number of super league clubs have took a knock over the last few months. Not ideal to restart and if they withdrawn themselves, the competition would get cancelled. That’s why they need automatically relegating. Like many have said already on here, TWP for me don’t see set up to continue in 2021. Many hurdles ahead
First of all I can imagine all super league clubs and all the other league clubs below them have all taken a knock over the last few months none so more than Toronto who now find that not only have they had no income at all unlike the rest of the super league clubs propped up by Sky, they have now lost half their team through government red tape, not a huge fan of Toronto myself but surely they deserve a bit of leeway.
It’s not an attack on Toronto, just the situation at hand and how to handle it. I wouldn’t throw a championship club in this season at short notice. But plenty of time to get ready for 2021.
I believe if the salaries and cap were not as much as they currently are at Toronto then resuming the season would have been a lot more manageable personally.
Others may think differently but I can see if it was Wakefield, Hull KR or Salford in this position, I’d like to see how much lee way would be given. I’ve never had faith in the RFL. Shockingly ran and has been for years. Be interesting to see how this pans out (Not particularly blaming the rfl for this situation just so that’s clear), just interested into how they handle it

Certainly not as much as Leeds Wire Saints and Wigan would have that's for sure.

I think you can blame the rfl it was the stupid pound signs in their eyes that also brought this problem

Yeah. To be honest without having a home game this will definitely affect revenue. But they’ve been allowed to throw millions at players, took on Tony Gigot and kallum Watkins to try and turn fortune around and it hasn’t worked out.
It’s hard to work out and with no championship competition it’s not straight forward to just cherry pick a team to compete in SL in 2021. But there needs to be consequences and actions taken by the RFL towards the Wolfpack. Time will tell

I agree but, I'm not sure that anything will happen, unless of course they go bust before the start of next season, which would necessitate that a change was made. Assuming that The Championship doesn't get up and running again, there should only be 2 clubs in the reckoning for a SL place Either, reinstate London as the relegated club or, install Fev, who were beaten finalists in The Championship play offs.
Mind you, everyone else needs to make it to the end of the season before anything can be looked at.
I'm not sure that, after saying that they would fulfil their fixtures, Toronto should be an automatic to retain their SL place.
Have there been any shenanigans here or has everything been open and honest - it's bloody difficult to tell from the outside looking in. However, to go from, yes we will complete our fixtures in the UK to jacking in for the season, in the space of 10 days has a bloody awful smell about it.

Get out of lala land mate, they’ve had their chance, walked away from their responsibility with no thought for anyone else, so as a non RFL member it should be a ‘size 12 up the derrière’ enough is enough !!!!!
