I can't understand why England v France won't be a sellout, what sort of attendance is expected?

England vs France ought to sell out. France played well against Samoa, especially in the first half, despite the Samoan brutality.

If Morgan Escare outplays Sam Tomkins in attack (and it is up to the French forwards to give him a platform), then expect the NRL cheque books to be out for the French full back.

Wigan don't even sell out Eng/GB vs Aus these days. Time for somewhere else to get a look in.

Looks a shocking crowd at Wrexham which is a real shame but not that surprising.

Wales is looking like a lost cause to me.

Better to focus on building the game in France, where at least you can now count on a good and passionate French crowd.

Not much marketing for the game at Wigan tonight really, pretty quiet all week.

France have been poop this RLWC and you will see exactly how poop in a few hours time......the lack of depth in the international game is being exposed by loaded group stages...France and dare I say Fiji may well deserve to be in the top 8, but they should have qualified as runner up in level groups. 2 Tries and 1 win in 3 is not deserving of a QF berth in my opinion......France should stick to white flag waving!

Re: World Cup Ticket Sales : Sat Nov 16, 2013 4:19 pm
Wigan have done zero to promote this game or anything about this World Cup really. It has been really dissapointing and they aren't the only club to be like that.

Even as a Wigan fan I'd be loathed to give anymore games to the DW. It's a decent enough stadium but because it's not owned by us, I don't think the club really care about the internationals being here.

The one thing I will say about it though is that it's not just Wigan fans responsibility to fill the ground tonight and if it isn't the blame (if anybody thinks there should be some) lies at all fans doors.

We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.

Re: World Cup Ticket Sales : Sat Nov 16, 2013 4:41 pm
The quarter finals are always a harder sell with people holding off until the last minute to know who is playing where.

Other fixtures are known well in advance.

Even the semi's being at the same venue means you get some certainty about who is going to be playing.
