Yeah, because two players tangling while chasing a kick and the smaller player being knocked to the ground is equivalent to a running forearm smash to an unsuspecting player's jaw. Hohaia shouldn't be given a free pass just because he's a 12 stone halfback and wasn't able to cause any real damage to a much bigger man.

Whether he knows he's unconscious or not HE'S FLAT ON THE FLOOR. That's the magnified danger of the second punch.

On the replays it looked as though Flower targeted his knuckles straight into the eye socket. You won't see any worse incidents than that.

I can register that a non-moving man lying on the floor following a punch to the head is unconscious immediately, particularly if I have landed the punch that has caused his injury.
Even in a short space of time, Flower had plenty of opportunity to realise that Hohaia when he was defenceless and unconscious and therefore not punch him in the head.

I'm afraid the Wigan Sky Sports network only show this from a distance and between flashes of the wigan commentators Carney and Wells.

But the first fore arm smash is flower in the back of Lance's head.

Lance should not have reacted. But then neither should have flower the second or third time.

Did you take that picture with a potato? I've seen better quality images from the 1850's.

By your extremely loose definition of forearm-smash, Hohaia had just been blindsided by one in the back of the head.

As I'm not from Wigan, I don't have the time or inclination to find a misleading still photo, but it's all clear enough on the full speed video.
