GH is pie in the sky. This letter almost gives the game away. He doesn't want Wakefield to get a new stadium because it will put them in a stronger position than Castleford in a few years time.

Winter is coming.

And nobody is doing that, Wright was asked if Wakefield refused to take part in a feasibility study, which they did and was also asked if they would be able to play at Glasshoughton, which he also confirmed.

He did nothing wrong, and it will in no way have any effect on the outcome, there are much bigger issues with the whole development than the fact Glasshoughton is an option for Wakefield.

Yes, I agree that this is the intention.
At first I thought RW was responding to a request from the decision-making body, but it seems he (and by default Cas) are actually providing information to support those objecting to Newmarket.

I wonder how i decide who is nearer the truth and who can think for himself, one of you is towing the party line.

From a moral high-horse point of view - no.
From a sensible business point of view - yes.

Won't make any difference. If both clubs have failed to get new stadiums, BOTH will be out, they'll be no choosing. Theres no last chances left.

An egregious act by a pathetic and desperate man, that has brought shame on himself and by association, his club.

Decent Cas fans will be hanging their heads; not Gronk though, he's the Cas version of the Iraqi Minister of Information.

Agreed. Cas would be better supporting NM and groundsharing if it is successful until (if) GH is built.
WTW would be better, if NM fails, to groundshare with Cas until a (another) suitable alternative is found.
The phone conversation should go:
RW: "Look, we'll support you fully with NM, on the basis that if you are successful we can groundshare for a couple of years until GH is built"
AG: "Thanks. If NM does collapse, we would like to groundshare at GH when (if) it is built, until we can find another alternative."

I suspect that given RW's latest master-stroke, the NM ship has sailed where Cas are concerned.

Why they can't just groundshare a tidy 15,000 seater stadium in Normanton I'll never know. 18,000 and you'd both make money off Challenge Cup semis and England A games.

Can't we all just get along?
