Bizarre outburst to be honest. I put that I'd like to see either win a game in the play offs but can't see it happening. I can't. Am I not allowed to say it?
For all the claims of arrogance etc. I'm not expecting Saints to win the Grand Final either. There is a clear precedence to back that up, but I still can't see it being Salford or Cas that do it. Cas will be out by Friday and Salford will then have to beat Warrington. It ain't happening, no matter how much you butter it up as a possibility. Reality kicks in during the play offs.
You say "bizarre outburst" but, branding 2 out of the 5 clubs in the play offs as irrelevant, is either disrespectful or arrogant, especially as they have beaten Warrington twice in recent weeks. You choose but, i'd say a bit of both.
Nice sidestep, you called them 'irrelevant', that's the poor comment, your opinion as to whether they will or won't win is not an issue but to call two decent teams 'irrelevant', that IMO is hugely disrespectful and as proved relentlessly in the case of Saints utterly foolish, you keep writing every team in SL off yet you continually fail to win the big prize, or have I missed something?
Do you work for the Daily Mail? You're taking my quote out of context there and twisting it all up. My post should come across as "Salford and Cas are irrelevant as far as the Play Offs are concerned". I'm not belittling either club, just their Play Off chances.
Neither club is going to win in the Play offs IMO. Feel free to call me out if I'm wrong, it's only a prediction.
I think we will beat Warrington on Thursday. I'm rarely optimistic about our chances. That will probably lead to a shoot out at Salford which we could win leading us to play the loser of saints or Wigan. That's where my optimism runs out.
Set fair for a saints Wigan final. Hopefully saints win it.
Just like this year's Challenge Cup, it's Saints to lose. This season they've had the easiest opportunity to bag the treble, surely Holbrook's not going home an ultimate failure by only winning the hubcap, again?

Yep i expect it to be a Saints v Wigan final, but i wouldn't want to call the winner

While you could well be proven right, it's worth noting that Salford has beaten Warrington three times this season already, twice at their own place, and Cas has beaten them once also. So certainly not full gone conclusions on paper. So called 'big game experience' may be a factor, but then again it might not be.
You can, of course, say what you like but others are quite freely allowed to question its basis.
So the top five play-offs are about to get underway. Where is Wakey?
You know that club who claimed to be an 'established top five club' not too long ago but now after dodging the drop by a narrow margin have celebratory music over the tannoy, fans on the pitch and smalltime chants of 'we are Super League'. So much for being an 'established top five club.
I'd like to see Cas be GF winners btw, the lesser of five evils.

I wouldn't be too quick to say Wigan are nailed on finalists just yet. Yes we are in form, yes we get home advantage on Friday and yes we have beaten Salford convincingly three times already this season. Friday will be a tough match for us if they bring their A game with them. I can see it being close with only a try in it perhaps.
Fair play to them, it's been a marvellous season so far from them.
Even if we do beat Salford we then have to win away to Saints (unlikely) to get to Old Trafford or then wait another week to play the eventual winners from Cas/Wire/Salford.
I do sense a loss coming from us at some point in the playoffs, I certainly can't see us winning the next three matches in a row.
Agree it looks likely a Saints v Wigan final but Warrington have the players and experience to upset the odds. Salfords backs are good but pack looks outgunned now it's playoff Lussick and Jones aside.Wouldnt mind being proved wrong by them mind. Cas are the real puzzle for me, top pack but backs aren't firing (injuries)Think they will be much better next season. Should be good close games I reckon and as neutral will enjoy em all
