Some might look at this as being harsh but I think it's fair. When are the Rugby League going to stop persisting with this fantasy expansion. If it hasn't worked by now, it never will! I'm all for reaching out to a wider audience with our game but not at the expense of historical clubs in the homelands.

Yeah, and building work was completed about four years ago. The stand has been open for literally years.

Without a roof on the Western terrace, it'll never be the best ground.

It's a cracking ground, but dated.

Looks fantastic. Any chance of a roof in the away end?

It's grand opening was on the 10th July 2011 when the Rhinos were in town and we got a right thumping in front of a sell out crowd.

I was sat in the new stand that day and couldn't believe that the stand had passed all of the H&S tests (If they have to have these tests in France ?),
as there were electrical cables still not boxed in and there were building materials scattered all around the stand both inside and outside and it certainly looked far from being fully completed

There was also only one exit from the ground that day from that particular stand, it took us 20 minutes to exit the ground through the main gates due to the large queues

Have you seen how the towering 'new' kop end at Bradford City dwarfs & overshadows the adjacent row of terrace houses?

What relevance does that have to Headingley where there is a track record of difficulties with planning applications that were much less contentious than building a stand on the western terrace?

I think the house owners behind the Western Terrace are quite happy for Bradford City to build a new stand as big as they like.
