We paid 200k for gleeson in 2004 as a 24/25 year old at he top of his game. 100k for someone who's 29 next month and in not so good form is just a great bit of business for Wire. Besides this, 100k or nothing in October?.. hmmm, Mathers or no Mathers thats a great deal for us. Gleeson wanted out and Moran had earlier agreed to release him at end of 09 as a good will gesture anyway ("symapthetic")

On his day Gleeson is Britains best centre, but those days don't come along everyday.

The question now is, who does TS have lined up? Atkins, Shenton, Lyon?

You're gonna get warrington fans trying to put a positive spin on things, but i for one think it's a crap deal for warrington. Fair enough if he wants to go get rid but we should have done a better deal than that.
