Tickets are still as cheap as chips and I suspect there will be a massive push in the south after England have cemented their place there......
.....the big concern is the 2nd game and how many will remain in their seats (especially for the 2nd half which seemed to be the stage at which the Millennium Stadium looked empty).

I've never understood why they can't make it so that England is guaranteed to be the 2nd game. I'm sure Aussie TV would prefer to have Australia on as the first game too, they swapped the opening day's fixtures around for that reason.

Imagine if we got the record (for both codes) attendance though!   Is it 83k?

I believe the world record for a RLWC or RWC game is 82,957.

I suspect the "other lot" and their media buddies per say would either quash any claim due to the fact that it is for 2 games (a valid point in my opinion), or wholeheartedly ignore it.

IF we do break the record for both codes at Wembley It would be great to have John Inverdale there to witness it. But no doubt he will find a way to have a go.

I was travelling back from Widnes a few years back and he was on the Radio spouting his usual "inshitefullness" when he came up with the gem.....

"maybe we should remove the 2 flankers to open the game up more"

I ordered tickets for Wembley a couple of weeks ago through the RLWC / Ticketmaster site but no sign of them. Is this the norm?

Yes. They'll arrive, don't worry.

Rhinos arranged some for the opener but didn't announce until the week before.

Re: World Cup Ticket Sales : Thu Nov 07, 2013 12:34 am
Looks like there is only top tier tickets left. If they are reasonably filled then I think that's a good effort.

If England make the semis (which they should and will do) then hopefully people who didn't originally want to go get drawn in.

70k+ for the final sorted so we should be pushing the semi final now. Hopefully we'll see a surge of tickets sold in the week leading up to the game too.
