Got my Cardiff tickets, but I assume that the ones for Bristol are being sent separately.

It is to be hoped that all the "anecdotal evidence" circulating this time around is far more accurate than it was prior to the RLWC of empty seats back in 2000.

Hope so too. I remember people paying £10 on the day to get into that final, and there were still loads of spaces.

With the way the media have been getting behind sports stories recently, we need an England Australia final in front of a packed Old Trafford.

Considering British RL has approx 100,000-120,000 paying RL fans attending games ticket sales are going well IMO.

I think the Olympics has helped create a 'miss it, miss out' feeling amongst casual sports fans, and the RFL have so far done a good job of marketing the event IMO. We just need England to make a strong start, which will boost sales at Huddersfield & Hull for the group games, and for the Quarter final.

The Final will be a sell out...no RL fan will want to miss the opportunity to attend a RLWC Final.

The worry I have is the weekend before.....England v NZ at 1pm will be well attended, but the second semi-final might be played to a reduced crowd, with England fans from the north heading home early after their first game. That's why the "fans in the south" spin is being pushed hard, together with the hiring of heavy hitters to get it marketed and as many fans in attendance from the south as possible.

They need to make England the 2nd game no matter what happens, otherwise the prospect of a disappointing display and an empty Wembley for the 2nd game would look awful on TV.

England need to win Group A or to finish 3rd in the group for that to happen...If they finish 3rd, then they will met Australia in the 2nd Wembley Semi-Final and I believe Fiji would play NZ in the curtain raiser.

Can't see past England v Kiwis and Fiji v Australia in the semi's though....anyone who thinks the Australians might be tired, or not up for it doesn't understand Australians....they are smarting from 2008 and want their Trophy back.

I wouldn't worry so much about the 2nd game, if England do play in the first game v NZ I think pretty much everyone will stay to support whoever are playing Australia in the second game.

While you're right and we are underestimating how much this means to the Australians, you are also underestimating how much we hate the Kangaroos.

Freedom for supporters of the government, only for members of one party - however numerous they may be - is no freedom at all. freedom is always and exclusively for one who thinks differently.

Which is the mistake they've made with Cardiff, although that may have been because of the TV companies.

Why on Earth would people go all the way to Cardiff then leave when they have the opportunity to watch another World Cup game?

What makes you so certain it will be Fiji? There's a few teams that look stronger (depending on who's available)
