The reason they were empty seats was because due to health and safety reasons (madness i know) they can't sell all seats.

Also a lot will have been sold to hospitality. My local gym were saying they brought a load of tickets for the game and were giving them away as prizes for an outdoor tournament they were doing, but due to the weather they couldn't go ahead with the tournament so had a load of tickets.

I get that they can't sell them all due to H&S. But there were bunches of tickets missing.

You would think the H&S would lead to the odds seats not being sold. Which were dotted here and there.

The big gaps had to be down to people who bought in bulk, but then could not shift them for one reason or another.

I get that. But there were blocks of 30/40 seats randomly empty all over. You wouldn't have found that that at twickers today even if they were bought in bulk..

the stadium record for the KC is also for a rugby match (GB-Australia in 2005) but IIRC I don't think that can be beaten as some seats where removed to make a bigger media area when Hull City reached the Premier League.
