The attendance was 24,375.
As for the empty seats, I'm not sure exactly why that was, but there is no way they would have put up sold out if they were 1000's short.
It was only a few groups of seats here and there. I do wonder if some seats where reserved for more dancers?? As it seemed to be the section nearest to them that had the biggest hole. The rest was just odd seats which would be the odd group not turning up. Touts buying when it looked likely to be a sellout and not shifting them on the day.
There was a bloke on the road in with a hand full of tickets, so I think he must have made a loss thinking he could shift a job lot at the last minute. Thing is when sold out goes up, very few will chance it. So the touts where out manouvered. In the end the game sells 24,375 tickets whether someone sits in the seat is irrelevant.
